PREAMBLE
WHEREAS The International Parliament for Safety and Peace (IPSP) has operated for over 33 years in Palermo, Sicily. It is
an intergovernmental organization of States, founded originally by constituting charter of the Republics of Cyprus, Senegal
and Mali on 15th December 1975 and has today parliamentary and diplomatic delegations in more than 130 Nations.
The IPSP Charter on the Protection of Human Life has been given to the world on 16th of January 1976.
Believing that since wars begin in the minds of people, it is in the minds of people that the defenses of peace must be
constructed, and Believing that the peace must be founded, if it is not to fail, upon the intellectual and moral solidarity of all
peoples,
Have resolved to combine our efforts to form an association of the peoples and, having agreed to the present
Constitution, do hereby establish an international organization to be known as the INDIAN FEDERATION OF
INTERNATIONAL PARLIAMENT FOR SAFETY AND PEACE ASSOCIATIONS.
OBJECTIVES
Objectives
Article 1
The objectives of the Indian Federation of International Parliament for Safety and Peace Associations are:
To disseminate information, in cooperation with the IPSP officials whenever possible, about the programs and
activities of the IPSP;
To mobilize public support for and popular participation in those IPSP programs in which citizens are expected to
play a role;
To publicize the numerous IPSP success stories - giving evidence that we all ultimately benefit from such IPSP
programs;
To lobby its government, political parties and interest groups in support of the IPSP;
To persuade the Ministry of Education to include teaching about the IPSP in the curricula of schools, colleges,
teacher training institutes, universities, other higher education institutions and organized programs of adult
education;
To establish relationships with members of the media and act as a catalyst to stimulate frequent and accurate
coverage of the IPSP and its programs;
