Conference on 2–4 June
Event Focuses on Transparency in Natural Catastrophe Risk Modelling

OAKLAND, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Catastrophe risk modelling firm EQECAT, Inc., will host a
three-day conference, Creating Value Through Increased Transparency, beginning 2 June at 12:00 p.m. and ending
on 4 June at 1:00 p.m. to be held at Vienna Marriott Hotel, Parkring 12a, Vienna, 1010 Austria. The conference will
provide professionals in the global re/insurance industry with a greater understanding of the need to manage natural
catastrophe risk. The cost to attend the three day conference is €875 prior to 1 May, and €995 from 2 May – 1
June.
The conference begins on 2 June with a panel discussion of industry experts on Solvency II and implications for
catastrophe modelling. In addition, Dr. Johnny Chan, Director, Guy Carpenter Asia-Pacific Climate Impact Centre,
City University of Hong Kong, will discuss tropical cyclone prediction on seasonal or longer time scales on 3 June.
