EMERGENCY OVERVIEW: A yellowish tablet shaped solid (pastille). Normally non-hazardous. Dusts, if generated, may
irritate the nose and throat. Concentrated dusts may produce a dust explosion if confined and a source of ignition is present.
NFPA Rating: Health = 1, Fire = 0, Reactivity = 0 (as shipped) Health = 2, Fire = 1, Reactivity = 0 (if crushed into small particles)
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS: (As shipped, the product is considered non-hazardous. However, product dusts, if
generated may present a hazard.)
INHALATION: Product dusts, if generated, may cause irritation of the nose and throat. Asthmatics may be sensitive to sulfur
dusts and should avoid exposures.
SKIN CONTACT: Prolonged contact with product dusts may cause irritation.
EYE CONTACT: Exposure to product dusts may cause irritation.
INGESTION: Not a likely route of entry. Sulfur is not considered toxic under foreseeable exposure patterns.
LONG-TERM AND/OR DELAYED EFFECTS: Asthmatics can experience the onset of reactions if sensitized to sulfur dusts.
