Strategic thinking will benefit leaders and teams in all organizations, as well as individuals who want to truly ignite positive change.
WHY A WORKSHOP ON APPLIED STRA TEGIC THINKING?
We live and work in a fast-paced, turbulent, and changing environment with
many opportunities, uncertainties, and hazards. Managers and individual con-
tributors alike frequently become preoccupied with day-to-day tactics and fail to
prepare for the long-term or position themselves for success in the future. It is
vital that all members of the organization feel responsible for achieving organiza-
tional results, have a broad perspective, and are aware of the trends and develop-
ments shaping their work. With a little discipline and thought, managers and indi-
vidual contributors can have the ability to gain, expand, and exercise greater influ-
ence over their work and make a strategic contribution to their organization. The
challenge today is to find a way to see the future in a sea of change.
Strategic thinking is sometimes viewed as a complex and intimidating topic.
However, thinking strategically is simply having the skills and foresight to solve
tomorrow’s problems today. We believe that this kind of strategic thinking can
benefit leaders and teams in all types of organizations, as well as the individual
who wants to truly ignite positive change.
The Applied Strategic Thinking Workshop will teach participants how to think,
plan, and act more strategically at the individual level and on the front lines of
work. Through real life experiences, illustrated examples, straightforward activities,
and tools, the Applied Strategic Thinking Workshop outlines the necessary skills to
become strategically minded and forward thinking.
