Patient emergency station shall be Alpha Com-
munications®/Tektone SF333 or approved
equivalent. Operation of all emergency signals
shall be accomplished by depressing the centrally
located push button designated "EMERGENCY".
The red "Call-Placed" indicator shall flash to
assure the patient that the call has been properly
placed. The initiation of the emergency call shall
cause the activation of both audible and visual
signals. Call cancellation shall be possible only at
point of origination. Reliable, solid state compo-
nents shall be used and a plug-in connector shall
be provided for electrical connections.
The SF333 shall be UL 1069 listed to the latest 4th
Edition Standards. Contractor shall observe all local
and national electrical and building codes.
For use in toilets or similar areas where emergency
call initiation may be required, the SF333 Patient
Emergency station is used to operate all system
emergency signals. A call is placed by depressing
the centrally-located push button. The "Call-Placed"
indicator flashes to provide for patient call assur-
ance. Calls are registered on the master station (and
duty station if used) via audible and visual signals.
