Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan (code 100)

These deliverables apply to this individual plan. For other planned practice deliverables
refer to those specific Statements of Work.
PLANNING
NOTE: A comprehensive nutrient management plan (CNMP) should address all land units
that the animal feeding operation (AFO) owner and/or operator owns or has decision-
making authority over and on which manure and organic by-products will be generated,
handled, stored, or applied.
NOTE: NRCS policy requires that technical assistance provided for conservation planning
follow the guidance and processes in the NRCS National Planning Procedures Handbook
(NPPH). For the purposes of providing conservation planning technical assistance,
Technical Service Providers are to complete the actions required in the first seven Steps
of the NPPH planning process. All deliverables below are based on that requirement. For
detailed guidance, planners should refer to the appropriate section of the NRCS NPPH
(CNMP Technical Guidance).
Deliverables:
1. Document environmental compliance for the planned system of conservation practices to be used by
the animal feeding operation. Refer to Pennsylvania eFOTG, Section III. C. Planning and
Environmental Compliance Information and include the following:
a. Environmental Evaluation Worksheet-Pennsylvania Substitute for NRCS-CPA-52 (Section III.
C., eFOTG)
b. Cultural Resources Review Worksheet (Section II. C. Cultural Resources
Information, eFOTG)
c. PNDI Project Environmental Review Receipt from Pennsylvania Natural Heritage Program,
PNDI Project Planning Environmental Review at http://www.naturalheritage.state.pa.us/
Note: Environmental compliance activities must be coordinated with the NRCS designated agency
representative since all findings and interagency consultation are the responsibility of the lead
Federal agency.
