tions while assigned to the 10th Sustainment Brigade.
A Detachment, 33rd FMCo deployed in the early part
of December 08 and are busy getting settled in and
providing world-class finance support. During this
Holiday season, I’d like to say thanks to the Families
for all the holiday care packages, cards, and letters
sent to Soldiers.
Next quarter the Sustainers (AKA the Gators)
will continue to focus on operations in Iraqi, Kuwait
and Fort Drum. We will prepare HQ Det, 33rd FMCo
for deployment. We’d also like to recognize 620th
MCT that is mid- way through deployment in support
of 10th Mountain Division. At Fort Drum, the FRG
will also plan for a spring Festival, bringing Families
together for food and fun.
We will continue to keep Families updated
with the newsletters as well as through the rear de-
tachment and the Family Readiness Group, a great
organization and resource for Families. I truly appre-
ciate the great work and service our Soldiers and
Families provide everyday.

Both the Ser-
geant Major and I are
extremely proud of our
Soldiers. Our focus has
been on supporting
operations in Iraqi, Ku-
wait and Fort Drum,
NY. These operations
have been supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
This past quarter was a busy month for the Sustain-
ers. At Fort Drum, we focused on Medical SRC, country-
specific pre-deployment training, and block leave. B Detach-
ment, 33 FMCo deployed mid- Oct 08 and is providing out-
standing finance support. The rear detachment focused and
continues to focus on deployment training for late-deploying
personnel and to provide support to our Families in the rear.
We had an outstanding deployment ceremony on 30 Oct 08
at Magrath Gym. The battalion deployed the first week of Nov
08. The rear detachment and the FRG did an outstanding job
getting us out of Fort Drum smoothly. T
