Group & Organizational Dynamics (3)
This is a study of group behavior and how group
functioning affects organizational effectiveness.
Emphasis is placed on decision making and
resolving conflict in groups. Students develop
strategies for efficient and productive group
management and determine which tasks are
handled by groups or individuals.
Organizational Communication (3)
This course investigates the role of
communication in creating a productive
organizational environment. It aids students in
developing or strengthening their
communication skills by focusing on
interpersonal, group and presentation skills.
Business Writing For Professionals (3)
This course provides intensive practice in
writing for a wide variety of business
applications. A review of all English grammar
and writing skills is provided. Students will be
introduced to library research for essay
composition.
Principles of Leadership (3)
This is a study of the concepts of leadership in
the context of the Scriptures, with particular
attention to New Testament concepts and
models of leadership. The concepts are
applicable for both personal and career goals.
Methods of Research & Analysis (3)
Problem analysis and evaluation techniques are
presented. Students are shown methods for
defining, researching, analyzing, and evaluating
a problem in their work or vocational
environment which they have selected for an
independent study project. Specific statistical
information covered in the course includes
identifying and measuring objectives, collecting
data, working with significance levels, analyzing
variance and constructing questionnaires.
Organizational Research Project I (2)
The student completes an independent research
project related to his/her employment
environment. Concepts and methods presented
in the “Methods of Research and Analysis”
module help the student identify a topic, collect
data, and measure results. A faculty advisor
provides academic support and an on-si
