Center for Media Justice launches newly redesigned website
Media strategy and action center celebrates redesign, rebrand
09.17.2009 – Oakland, Ca - Today, Center for Media Justice, a national leader in
progressive media policy advocacy and strategic communications, launched its
newly redesigned website. The site leverages the best design and change-based
justice communications tools for community organizers, organizations and
alliances. The redesign aims to deepen engagement with the media strategy and
action center's program partners and participants, innovate an online learning
community, build relationships with journalists and media makers, and to provide a
space for people to act on important media, racial and economic justice policy
issues.
Key new features include:
- An easy to use media justice policy action center
- An innovative "living" online learning community
- Straightforward ways for organizers to receive services, resources and tools
- A new organizational blog
- Key race and media news headlines
- Pressroom and newsroom with stories and sources to watch
- An online community driven press database
"In these times when public discourse has been poisoned by misinformation and
lies by the likes of Glenn Beck and FOX news, progressive organizers, the
communities they represent, and the journalists who cover them now have easily
accessible online portal to the information, analysis, and resources they need to
change the story on race, youth,, and media," says Malkia Cyril, executive director of
Center for Media Justice.
The new design was executed by Exobi Interactive, a San Francisco-based
consultancy specializing in interactive design, website development, and software
development.
