Please join us October 26-30, 2008, at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada,
for the 23rdAnnual Clinical Symposium onAdvances in Skin &Wound Care: The Conference
for Prevention and Healing. The conference is produced by Wolters Kluwer Health/Lippincott
Williams &Wilkins, publisher of Advances in Skin & Wound Care.
Besides gathering the best and brightest speakers from across the country, we’ve worked with our
planning panel to develop a program that is credible, balanced, and relevant to clinical practice.
The conference will also meet the continuing education needs of multidisciplinary skin and wound
care practitioners, from novice to expert, by providing a forum for educational sessions and interactive
workshops that offer comprehensive wound management strategies. Full details are on page 5.
We’re expecting 1,100 multidisciplinary practitioners at this year’s conference—nurses, physicians,
podiatrists, physical therapists, dietitians and others who manage skin and wound care patients across the
continuum of health care. We’ll offer CE credit for nurses, CME credit for physicians, CPME credit for
podiatrists, CEUs for physical therapists, and CPEUs for Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians.
Because of its incredible popularity and high demand, we’ll offer the Wound Certification Prep Course™
once again. Endorsed by the ACCWS, this rigorous course will help prepare you to take the AAWM
certification exam that will enable you to earn your CWS credential. This 2-day course will be held on
October 26th and 27th just before the start of the main conference. The symposium offers a myriad of
discussions that will highlight current clinical practice, plus how to integrate cutting-edge treatments and
emerging technologies into your practice.
After attending the symposium, you’ll be able to:
• Apply basic to advanced concepts in the science of wound healing to your practice
or role in preventing and managing wounds.
