The Directors of the Kansas City Tax Clinic will discuss common tax issues faced
by low-income taxpayers such as offers in compromise, innocent spouse, and Earned
Income Tax Credit. They will also discuss the role of the Tax Clinic which is located at
the UMKC School of Law and offers free legal services to individuals with income less
than 250% of the poverty level. In the ten years since it was established, the Tax Clinic
has become a valuable resource for the legal community and the citizens of the Kansas
City metropolitan area.
