Remove all the protective tapes and covers from the printer.
Make sure to remove the orange protective material inside the scanner unit.
Setting Up Basic Preferences:
Connect your printer to an electrical outlet using the provided power cord.
Lift the operational panel and press the ON button to turn on your printer.
Select your language using the navigation keys and press the OK button.
Read the Safety Information and select Agree.
Press the OK button and start the basic Canon Pixma TS5170 Setup.
Installing Ink Cartridges:
Lift/open the scanner unit and then open the ink cartridge locking cover.
Unpack the Color fine cartridge from the package.
Remove the protective seals from the cartridge without touching the nozzle area.
Install the Color fine cartridge into the left-side slot and close the locking cover.
Repeat the same steps for the Black fine cartridge. Install it into the right-side slot
and close the locking cover.
Lower the scanner unit and proceed with loading print media.
Pull the paper cassette out of the printer and remove the cassette cover.
Slide the paper guides apart and fan a paper stack.
Load the paper stack into the cassette and adjust the paper stack with the paper
