PDS Refresher Training
Thank you for submitting the PD Specialist Extension Agreement and your continued support of the CDA
credential. Your records are being updated. To renew your PDS agreement, the Council requires that all
PD Specialists complete the Refresher Training. This is a self-paced training to remind you of the processes
and policies that govern the verification visit.
The training is video based and self-paced. The modules are designed to move you expeditiously through
the training. Each PD Specialist must pass the examination in order to renew the two-year agreement. All
PD Specialists taking the exam are given two attempts. You must pass the exam with at least an 85% score.
We are providing 30 calendar days from logging in, for you to complete the training. Once you have
entered the training center, follow the step-by-step instructions.
The training center is accessible from your Personal Dashboard in YourCouncil. To begin training, log into
your YourCouncil account and select the “PDS Renewal and Refresher Training” tab.
The next display requires that you select “Create New Application”. This is where you will confirm or edit
your current contact information. You will not actually create a new application.
Select “Profile” to review and confirm your contact information.
Select “Edit” review, update or change any information within your profile. Once you have reviewed
your information and made edits, select “Save and Continue”.
Select either “Yes” or “No” under “Confirm profile is up to date and continue to LMS?”; and then select
“Next”.
Under the Summary, you will note either an X or checkmark under “Status”. If the status is incomplete,
you will see an X. . You will need to return to the “Profile” or “Confirm” tab to make corrections. If,
under the “Status”, there is a green checkmark, click on the “Continue to Refresher Training” button.
