2010 Festival de Flor y Canto
Blogger & USC Alumni „80, Michael Sedano, from La Bloga, has been working to organize the reunion of the land-
mark first Festival de Flor y Canto which was held in 1973 at USC. Dozens of poets, writers, and academics shared
work at the 1973 event.
2010 Festival de Flor y Canto will be celebrated at Doheny Memorial Library on the USC campus on September 15-
17, 2010.
Poets, short fiction writers, novelists, performers who partici-
pated in the 1973 Flor Y Canto held in Los Angeles at the Uni-
versity of Southern California are encouraged to return to USC
for the 2010 renewal of this important event.
There will be readings and performances by many of the return-
ing participants, as well as an honoring to those who‟ve passed
away.
For more info or to volunteer, contact Dr. Michael Sedano at
msedano@readraza.com .
