Course Objectives
In order for electrical installers to self-certify
that their domestic electrical installation work in
England and Wales is compliant with PART P of The
Building Regulations, they must be registered with
a competent person scheme, such as the NICEIC
Domestic Installer Scheme. All applicants to the
NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme must meet a
number of requirements, in particular be able to
demonstrate they have the ability to install, inspect,
test and certify their work in accordance with BS
