Cleveland Culinary Challenge
Taste-Filled Affair A Fundraiser For Spirit Of Cleveland
10.23.2009 – WHAT:
Here’s the dish. Start with talented Cuyahoga Community College students
interested in the culinary arts, add a few of the city’s most talented chefs (like Doug
Katz, Marlin Kaplin, Zach Bruell, Steve Schimoler and Sergio Abramof) , then mix in a
mouthwatering competition and add a dash of entertainment (a jazz trio and cake
decorating and ice sculpting demonstrations). Top it off with a chance to bid on great
silent auction “must-haves” like a Bruce Springsteen/Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
package (premium concert tickets included), a PlayhouseSquare/Morton’s
Steakhouse night out (to the opening evening of Chicago), a VIP Fabulous Food
Show outing and Cleveland Cavaliers package. Serve with an adult beverage and
hors d’oeuvres and you’ve got the recipe for a night to savor.
This fundraiser supports the Spirit of Cleveland (a non-profit subsidiary of Positively
Cleveland providing training and supporting the growth and advancement of the
hospitality industry in Cleveland Plus) and Cuyahoga Community College’s
hospitality management program. Emceed by Kenny Crumpton of WJW Fox 8 News
in the Morning.
All attendees receive a FREE ticket to Friday night of the Fabulous Food Show
