Q. Why did Vorgee choose to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation?
Vorgee chose to raise funds for Breast Cancer research as it is the most common invasive
cancer diagnosed in females in Australia. It is estimated that almost 13,300 Australian women will
be diagnosed this year.
Research has also shown that Breast cancer death rates (1994 to 2003) declined by an average
of 2% per year. Survival is improving due to better detection and improved treatment resulting
from excellent research. Because of this, Vorgee is keen to keep up the momentum of current
Breast Cancer research by raising further funds for this great cause.
Founder of Vorgee, John Vorgais says, “When I started Vorgee, I wanted to celebrate healthy
and active lifestyles; lifestyles that are threatened by this dreadful disease. Through this
campaign we are eager to raise funds for research and hope that this research will be very
successful in preventing breast cancer from taking more lives”.
