Cued Articulation Therapy

An understanding of the logic of Cued Articulation and the systems involved
• Mastering the 26 consonant cues and 20 vowel cues used in Cued Articulation
Application of Cued Articulation to different therapy strategies with a range of speech and language
• Observe and participate in activities and games demonstrated to generate new ideas to suit his/her
Ability to teach Cued Articulation to school teachers
Ability to demonstrate the application of Cued Articulation to different literacy programs with
teachers in schools.
About the workshop
This workshop aims to provide a brief revision of the production of speech sounds, emphasising the three
features of sounds that are reflected in cues – Manner, Placement and Voicing.Each consonant cue is
taught, with practical therapy ideas to reinforce this.
Phonological development, and developmental and non-developmental phonological processes are
discussed with reference to the application of Cued Art
