WEB SITE PRODUCTION
Course Number: CIS1831 - Credit Hours: 2
Student Level: Freshman or Sophomore
Prerequisite: Some Web experience or instructor approval.
Controlling purpose: This course is designed to introduce the fundamentals of web site
preparation, design, production and maintenance.
Learner outcomes. The student will:
• Understand and utilize the principles of creating web pages.
• Effectively collect information, proof, edit and develop content.
• Enhance and optimize graphics for web use.
• Utilize various software programs which may include Macromedia products, Adobe
products, FTP and Fetch.
• Understand the changing role and implications of managing information on the web.
