and the community to reinforce the Bank’s commitment in expanding our business while promoting social and cultural inclusion.
Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, a number of successful initiatives were held across the MENA Region.
More than 3500 staff employees worked together to make substantial contributions to Standard Chartered’s MENA Ramadan
Campaign which impacted 36,700* people in UAE, Jordan, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon, Egypt and the Philippines.

During the month of Ramadan, the Diversity and Inclusion MENA team
along with Saadiq Islamic Banking organised a number of initiatives to
help those in need.
The UAE raised approximately AED 208K (approx USD 56,668) in
staff donations and thereafter matched dirham for dirham by the
Bank). The funds were used to serve over 30,000 Iftar meals to
labourers during the holy month.
27 large boxes (each weighing 20-30kg) of clothing were collected
by staff as part of the clothing drive. D&I organised for the boxes to
