President’s Column
October 8 Meeting
Nominations for officers were very successful! We had
volunteers for all positions. For President we had Mike,
AA6XL, an ex-president. For Vice President we have Bill,
N6BCT, our existing VP and Ralph, KC6DLZ, a former
president. For Secretary we have Dave, KF6TWW, yet
another former President. For Treasurer we again have Roger,
WA6AFT, current treasurer, newsletter publisher and another
former president. Like small clubs everywhere each member
needs to stand up and help on a rotating basis. I hope those of
you who have yet to stand up will do so next year to help
share the effort. Thank you volunteers! The Ballot is included
inside your USPS mailed newsletter, or as an attachment if
you receive by email.
November 8 Dinner Meeting
This dinner will be at Nick’s Rockaway in Pacifica at 5:00 PM
No Host with dinner at 6 PM. See the menu and dinner
selection information and directions in this newsletter. I will
need your selection by November 4th if at all possible so the
restaurant has an idea of the numbers of each entrée to have
available. Last minute attendance is OK. Call 650-355-4355
or ferbacher@comcast.net with your selection.
November 15 Aviation Museum Tour
The Hiller Aviation Museum tour will start that Saturday at 10
AM and will take about 2 hours. Admission will be $4 for
each in our group. A group lunch nearby is a very good
possibility so allow a little more time for that. Turn off of 101
at Holly Street in San Carlos, heading easterly, turn towards
the bay. Then take a right turn towards the San Carlos airport
on Shoreway Drive and a quick right onto Skyway Road.
Travel southerly next to the highway just about one half mile.
The museum is on the left at 601 Skyway Rd.. See you all
there.
