Managing change. Since 2000, ACS has provided municipal IT services
to Memphis, including customer service, maintenance, and custom
developments. Shortly after the purchase of a new ERPS in 2001, the city
needed follow-on training and additional customizations to realize the full
benefi ts of the system.
Memphis city employees needed profi ciency in the new ERPS to realize the
benefi ts that enterprise technology could bring to resource and fi nancial
planning and tracking. Training sessions needed to be convenient and
specifi c to Memphis’ city operations.
The city also discovered unexpected needs after receiving the ERPS.
Memphis IT offi cials wanted to identify and address all outstanding system
customizations to avoid further complications in the future.
