AMINO RESIN Description: Amino Resins are resins formulated by adding formaldehyde to amino compounds like melamine, benzoguanamine, or urea, then undergoing a condensation reaction and etherification with aliphatic monohydric alcohol. They are used as curing agents for thermosetting coatings. There are two types of amino resins: urea-formaldehyde (UF) and melamine-formaldehyde (MF). Neo Amino resins are based on Butylated melamine formaldehyde. They are soluble in alcohols, esters ketones, glycol ethers, aromatic hydrocarbons it has limited soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons and is insoluble in water. NEO Amino resins are compatible with all short oil alkyds. Oil free polyester, medium and high molecular weight epoxy resin, epoxy ester ,thermosetting acrylics, and PVB resins. Being highly reactive and are used for curing of short oil alkyd, imparting excellent hardness, sharp gloss and mar- proofness to stoving system. Features: Excellent Impact resistance. High reactivity & rapid curing. Excellent corrosion resistance property. It is produced from urea and formaldehyde. These resins are used in adhesives, finishes, particle board, medium-density fibreboard (MDF), and molded objects. UFand related amino resins are a class of thermosetting resins of which urea-formaldehyde resins make up 80% produced globally. Amino resins are thermosetting resins formed by copolymerization of amino compounds with an aldehyde. Amino resins are used in wood panels, coatings, laminates, molding compounds, adhesives, and other industries. Amino resins are majorly used as adhesives in wood panels such as particleboards, MDF, plywood, etc. The high performance of amino resins in terms of strength and resistance they provide to wood panels are major driver of amino resin market. The report covers three major commercially used amino resins: urea formaldehyde resin (UF),melamine formaldehyde resin (MF), and melamine urea formaldehyde resin (MUF). Asia- Pacific leads in consumption of UF & MF resins followed by Europe and North America. China is the biggest consumer in the global UF and MF market. The market demand of amino resins in wood products has increased at a higher CAGR since 2011 after economic downturn of 2008 and is expected to remain at moderate CAGR till 2018. The coatings industry is expected to elevate the amino resin demand with increase in automotive and paint industry in near future. The report estimates the global market of UF resin, MF resin, and MUF resin till 2018. The market research study provides detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis of the global amino resins market.
