chapter in the remarkable
renaissance of downtown Stam-
ford, Connecticut, Donald J.
Trump joined development
partners Louis R. Cappelli and
Thomas L. Rich at a spectacular
groundbreaking for Trump Parc
Stamford, a $160 million, 34-
story high-rise condominium
tower in the heart of downtown
Stamford.
The May 15 event, which was
emceed by TV news personality
and Fairfield County native Rita
Cosby, was attended by more
than 200 business and govern-
ment leaders including Connecti-
cut Lt. Gov. Michael Fedele and
Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy.
Following the official ground-
breaking ceremony, guests were
invited to a reception followed
by tours of the new Sales and
Design Center at 7 Broad Street.
“This is an exciting day for me as
we mark the beginning of a new
era in downtown residential
development in the City of
Stamford, Fairfield County and
the State of Connecticut,” said
Mr. Trump.
“Stamford continues to transform
itself into a modern, 24-hour city
with a vibrant downtown. I have
had a very successful relationship
with Donald Trump in Westches-
ter and I am looking forward to
having equal success here in
Connecticut as we are joined
with my friend and development
partner, Stamford’s own Tom Rich.
This is going to be a signature
building for the city, the county
and the state,” said Mr. Cappelli.
