Jesus Is Alive!
No greater words have ever been spoken than these words. Behind those words lie hope and
restoration of fellowship with God as we accept Him by faith.
There can be no acceptance of Christ without faith and belief that in fact those words "were" true, and
"are" true. Faith had to be expressed even from those who saw Christ following the Resurrection since
no one had ever risen from the dead other than the miracles Jesus performed.
Louis Cassels writes the following...
"No person hearing the story of the Resurrection can possibly be any more skeptical of it than were the
apostles when they first heard about it. The record shows that Jesus had to go to great lengths to
overcome their disbelief. Once he ate an impromptu meal of cold fish and honeycomb-the only food at
hand-to demonstrate to one diehard doubter that he wasn't a ghost."
John R.W. Stott said; "Christianity is in its very essence a resurrection religion. The concept of
resurrection lies at its heart. If you remove it, Christianity is destroyed."
