Summer in Provence
A river journey through Provence aboard the MS Rembrandt
PRICES FROM ONLY £995 PER PERSON
Few places in France stir the emotions as much as
Provence. This corner of Mediterranean France has so much
to offer. The light, lifestyle and beauty of the region has
attracted some of the greatest artists, indeed it is difficult to
think of Provence without the names of Cezanne, Van
Gogh, Picasso and many more springing to mind. Summer
in this region is an absolute delight, the
historic towns and hilltop villages
beautifully decorated with colourful
flowers so unique to this area.
Most travellers through France miss the
timeless beauty of its countryside as they
trundle the impressive motorways at great
speed. For those looking for a more gentle
journey with time to appreciate the
countryside, villages and towns and
slowly absorb the subtle changes in
landscape and lifestyle, a river journey is
the ideal solution.
If you prefer to be in control of your own
sightseeing and exploring, our summer
journey aboard the MS Rembrandt could
be ideal for you. This week long cruise
along the River Rhone will sail through a
countryside dotted with cypress, umbrella
pine and vines. There will be the
opportunity to view some of the great
Roman sights for which Provence is justly
famous. Where possible, the vessel will moor centrally
allowing easy access to the historic towns along the Rhone.
In some places the moorings are not as central and transport
will be arranged to take you to the heart of town.
Day 1 U.K. to Arles. Fly by scheduled flight to Marseille or
Avignon from your chosen airport. Transfer to the MS Rembrandt
