This computerised accounting course is an opportunity for you to acquire basic skills in computerised
accounting on the popular and widely used Sage Line 50 accounting system.
The course covers:
• Inputting of payments and receipts
• Operation of the sales ledger and purchases ledger
• Preparing reports, statements and creating invoices.
Facilities for students:
Students are encouraged to make full use of the college’s excellent Library and refectory facilities and to
make use of the virtual learning environment which can be accessed on-line. The library has a large number
of computers available for student use out of class.
This level 2 course is taught by a professional accountant with substantial experience of successfully
delivering computerised accounting courses.
Assessment: This course is assessed by an examination set by City and Guilds

Students joining the Level 2 computerised book-keeping course are not required to have any previous
experience of book-keeping or accounting. However, an aptitude for working with numbers is an advantage
and some experience of using a computer will be assumed.

Successful students way wish to consider progression to the City and Guilds Level 3 computerised
accounting course or the AAT level 3 Diploma course at City College.
