This Agreement is entered into by and between the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development (hereinafter “Department” or “Secretary”) and AccuBanc Mortgage Corporation (hereinafter
The parties enter into this Agreement from a position of mutual understanding of the demographic
realities complicating the geographic distribution of available housing opportunities for low and moderate
income families in Tarrant and Dallas Counties. The parties also enter the Agreement from a position of
commitment to the principles of fair housing and fair lending and to the Secretary’s mandate to seek creative
methods for ending racial and economic separation of housing opportunities.
Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Lender will continue to support the fair lending initiatives it
currently has in place and will, during the term of this Agreement, undertake the commitments made herein to
promote fair lending with low-to-moderate income and minority borrowers.
FAIR LENDSG REAFFIRlkL4TION
The Lender reaflirms its commitment to the principles of fair lending and agrees to comply with all la~vs
promulgated to promote fair housing opportunities, including, but not limited to, the Fair Housing Act
(the “Act”), the City of Fort Worth’s Fair Housing Ordinance, the City of Dallas’ Fair Housing
Ordinance and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
In conducting its lending business, Lender shall continue to examine, &view and process all
applications for residential mortgage loans without eneaging in any unlawf?ul discriminatory practices
or unlawful differential treatment of applicants because of any basis prohibited by law.
The Lender will develop and implement a standardized pre-application policy which formalizes, in
whiting, uniform procedures to be applied by Lender to all prospect
