Energy and Innovation Expert Dr. David Bodde
Joins B&D Consulting

WASHINGTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Dr. David L. Bodde, a former Deputy Assistant Secretary in
the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), has joined B&D Consulting's energy, climate and environment team as a
senior advisor.
Bodde, who earlier served as Assistant Director for the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), advises clients on
policy, programs and strategies involving the DOE and other technology-intensive federal agencies. He currently is
completing a major research grant to help design and validate a more effective innovation process for the auto
industry. Bodde also serves as a Senior Fellow and Professor at Clemson University's Arthur M. Spiro Institute for
Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Bodde has served on several committees at the National Academy of Sciences and been invited to provide
Congressional testimony on topics concerning "next generation" vehicles, alternative transportation technologies and
alternative fuels.
Previously, Bodde spent eight years at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, as the Charles N. Kimball Chair in
Technology and Innovation. Other professional experiences include leading the Midwest Research Institute as
Corporate Vice President and President of its for-profit subsidiary, as well as Executive Director of the National
Academy of Science's Commission on Engineering and Technical Systems.
Bodde earned a Doctor of Business Administration from Harvard University. He has master's degrees in both
