A Note From
The Top
The Port of San Diego
conducts inspections of all marinas in the Bay on
a
quarterly
basis. Their
focus
is
an
environmental concern with special attention to
water quality. A couple of weeks ago they came
to our marina and for the most part they liked
what they saw. The marina’s side of the
operation met all of their standards. With a few
exceptions, the boaters berthing with us also
complied with their standards.
We bring this up because it often seems to us
that our attention to Rules and Regulations often
comes across as controlling and taking the fun
out of boating. On the one hand, we’d love to
operate the marina with as little intrusion on our
customers as possible. But on the other, it seems
that every year there is more and more pressure
on us from governmental agencies to regulate
how the marina is used. Our objective is operate
a “Clean Marina” in such a fashion that our
customers can still enjoy recreational boating.
Our goal is to be known as the “Best and
Friendliest Marina in San Diego Bay.”
Sincerely,
CYM-CHULA VISTA’S

As the holiday season of giving draws near let's not forget
the children in many poor South Bay communities who may
have the misfortune of not receiving a gift this year. Their
parents are concerned about feeding their children and
keeping them warm, yet their heart’s desire surely includes
being able to provide them gifts. With your help they will
do so.
