Approval of Minutes: November 12, 2008 Minutes.
Action: Motion by Warren Fisher to approve the November 12th meeting minutes, seconded by Larry
Strobel. Motion passed unanimously.
Public Comments: Brian Taylor, City of Hayden. They are making progress meeting with the schools. They
are concentrating on Hayden meadows. Their Bikeways Plan is completed.
Julie Delsaso, volunteer for trail development with the Centennial Trail Foundation, stated they are meeting
with Jason Brown from the Coeur d' Alene Tribe to discuss regional networking and to acknowledge their
endorsement letter supporting the Spokane South Link Bridge.
UPDATE OF OLD BUSINESS:
a. Safe Routes to Schools Grant – Monte reported that Taryn Petersen has taken the leadership position for
Kirsten. They are currently working on the 2010/2011 educational grant. Gordon Dobler discussed a piece
of equipment called a feedback board. It is a radar controlled sign that will tell how fast you are going. He
hopes to obtain a grant to install a few of them in Coeur d' Alene and/or get one for a pilot program. Monte
reported that they are hopeful the School District will take the lead in applying for future educational
