Bonding and Insurance
If you are bidding as a prime contractor you must be able to secure
Bid Bond (for all projects over $250,000)
Performance Bond (over $250,000)
Payment Bond (over $250,000)
For insurance limits – use the Road & Bridge Specification Book (or
the on-line version)
Registering for Electronic Bidding
Once you have received your vendor identification number you will
need to register with BidX in order to bid electronically with VDOT.
