Academic Year 2008-2009
Contingent upon the availability of funds, the California Graduate Equity Fellowship with grants
up to $4,500 are available for underrepresented graduate students who qualify. Upon considering
the eligibility criteria listed below, if you wish to apply for a fellowship, file a completed
Graduate Equity Fellowship application with the Division of Graduate Studies, Thomas
Administration Building, Room 132. Once selected, you may be funded for up to four semesters,
subject to maintaining satisfactory progress toward the completion of a graduate degree.
However, you must reapply each spring semester by filing a new Graduate Equity Fellowship
application with the Division of Graduate Studies. You must have on file for the 2008-2009
academic year, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the Financial Aid
Office in Joyal Administration Building, Room 296.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Academic Qualifications: The applicant must be admitted to California State University, Fresno. The applicant must be
admitted to a graduate program, be enrolled in, and be making satisfactory progress toward the completion of a graduate degree
program and satisfy all criteria for admission to such a program (i.e., be classified or conditionally classified). If you have not
been admitted to a graduate program, you must file an application as required. For details concerning admission requirements,
consult the current University Catalog. As a fellowship recipient you will be required to maintain a minimum grade point
average of 3.0, and to engage in full-time studies toward a graduate degree (i.e., enroll in 12 units or the equivalent each
fall/spring semester; 200-series courses are weighted 1.5 per unit; upon verification by the Division of Graduate Studies, zero-
unit enrollment in GS Continuation or GS 299 while completing a culminating experience may be considered full-time equivalent
