Over the recent months two Baxter parks
have received significant improvements,
Berrywood Park and the Whipple Beach
Recreation
Area.
After
these
improvements, Whipple Beach now has
the following facilities available:
• Restrooms
• Beach area
• Showers
• Changing rooms
• Swing set
• Play climber
• Walking pathways
• Fishing pier
• Boat launch
• Picnic tables
• Garbage containers
In 2006, the City plans on adding a
picnic pavilion, bike racks and nature
trails.
Berrywood Park has the following
facilities available after the recent
improvements:
• Play climber with climbing walls
• Restrooms
• Sand box
• Tennis courts
• Basketball courts
• Picnic tables
• Walking pathways
• Baseball/softball field
• Water fountain
• Garbage containers
• Spring riding toy
For 2006, the City plans on adding a
swing set, small play climber, back-hoe
diggers and bike racks.
