Today I’m sharing some tips on how to grow your server, and where to start!
Create your server focused on a subject that people mostly like:
People won’t join your server if it’s not interesting. In fact, I tried making an attempt at
owning a community hangout server, which probably ended up having 30 members in total,
while there are larger servers with the same topic.
Choose another type of server theme that isn’t seen around Discord that much, and who
knows? It could grow. So say for example; advertising Discord bots server, there aren't many
of them around Discord, that’ll be your next big server.
Be active, be involved with your community:
To get users to engage, you have to engage with your community. Ask them how their day
is going, what are they playing, and other conversation starters. Consider hosting events,
some good games include; cards against humanity, jackbox games, and skribblio.
Just engaging with your community and doing events will make the members be more
active and be more involved with the server.
Establish Partnerships, and good marketing/advertising plans:
The best way to get the word out about your server is partnering with current growing
communities. Create a friendship with that community and be somewhat active within that
community. Add your server using websites like our site DiscordServers.me, and or any
other Discord advertising websites or servers. Make sure you have a great description about
your community, what you are about, what you offer, etc. Give as much information as you
can about your server.
If you have loads of friends, you can ask them to join your server, and ask them to spread
the word to their other friends/family. It’s a handy method, but it’s okay.
Establish rewards for engaged members:
Building an active community can take time — but offering special roles or privileges to
active users can help incentivize more activity. This can be like a special color for their name,
