Dr. Andrew Viterbi Joins Link_A_Media Devices’
Board of Directors

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Link_A_Media Devices (LAMD), a leader in the
development of semiconductor SoC solutions for the data storage market, announces the addition of Dr. Andrew
Viterbi to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Viterbi is a highly respected leader in the business and engineering communities. He is the inventor of the Viterbi
algorithm, which is deployed in all SoCs used in hard disk drives today, and contributed to the development of the
Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) standard for phone networks. His career has spanned various positions
including the co-founder of Qualcomm Inc. and Linkabit Corp., President of the Viterbi Group, and a Professor of
Electrical Engineering at the University of California Los Angeles and the University of California San Diego.
