Crestron Unveils ADMS Intermedia Delivery System
Crestron ADMS Revolutionizes Content Delivery; CEDIA New Technology Award Winner
Crestron, the global leader in home control and HD digital
home entertainment, introduces the new ADMS Intermedia
Delivery System - bringing the world of entertainment and
information home. Revolutionizing the way media is
experienced, ADMS removes the boundaries between TV,
movies, music and Internet. ADMS doesn't just serve the
content already owned, it delivers anything desired.
Part of a complete home entertainment system, ADMS features a 1TB RAID 1 hard drive, a powerful
search engine and beautiful graphical interface to gather any type of content from a wide selection
of sources, whether on the local hard drive, network device or online. Results are graphically
displayed for immediate viewing or download for rental or purchase. Optional 4TB RAID5 NAS
(Network Access Storage) drives may be connected for additional hard drive storage. To
accommodate Blu-ray discs, the ADMS solution also includes an optional 200-disc Blu-ray changer.
Up to five changers may be cascaded to hold up to 1,000 discs.
Not just another media server
Today, there are many different music and video content sources available, such as Apple TV®,
Roku®, VUDU™, DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes and streaming media from the Internet. The problem is
they're all fragmented, representing different media formats, user interfaces, players, boxes,
remotes and hard drives. Each source offers a limited library of titles based on format or licensing
agreements. To get complete access to all available content, not only are several boxes required,
but if one provider doesn't have the title desired, multiple independent searches must be conducted
and manually repeated until the content is located.
The ADMS shatters the old paradigm of saving discs onto hard drives, and removes all boundaries
between media sources. ADMS is more than just another media server -
