SECTION 1 : INTRODUCTION
This standard is intended as a foundation for information sharing, and it will serve to simplify the transfer
of data from the original building, or facility design applications to Emory University’s facility
management applications. The ultimate goal of Emory University, through the development and
enforcement of this standard is to ensure the creation of an accurate and consistent electronic database and
archive, or “information model,” which can be made available throughout the entire li
