work and to help develop students studying different disciplines (primarily Petroleum Engineers,
but also Geologists, Accountants, Financial Analysts, and Law Students).
We are looking for a geology student to intern with us during summer 2010 (May – August time
frame depending on school schedule). This candidate would be assigned a few short term
projects over the summer. Projects this summer are associated with assets we operate in the
Giddings Field (Austin Chalk), Mid-Continent area fields, and an Arkoma Basin field. The
candidate would work with our asset teams that exploit these assets. We assign a manager and a
mentor to the intern for each project. The candidate would work with an engineering intern on
some of the projects. Our intern program also involves informal weekly meetings / project
updates and a formal presentation at the end of the summer. Required trips to the field(s) and
performance evaluations are also part of the program. Pay is on an hourly basis at competitive
rates depending on the intern’s past experience.
EnerVest’s Summer Internship program is primarily designed to engage undergraduates, rising
Junior or rising Senior level classifications.
