Research Participants Wanted
Who: Pre-menopausal women 18-50 years old,
with at least one abnormal Pap test (“mild,”
“ASCUS,” “low grade,” or “LSIL”) in the last
What: 1) Screening Study for Women with
HPV-16 (Human Papillomavirus) Infection
2) Clinical trial for HPV-16 vaccine
Why: To test women with abnormal Pap results
for HPV-16 infection using a virus test. As many
as 2600 women will be screened for infection
and eligibility for the HPV vaccine trial.
Eligible women will be compensated up to $80
for the screening study, and as much as $225
additionally for participating in a study
comparing vaccine to an inactive substance
