The meeting was called to order at 6:40pm.
The December 12, 2007 BOD minutes were approved.
OFFICER REPORTS:
President Steve Greenbaum: Steve reviewed some of the final plans for the
January 23, 2008 Annual Meeting: Alan (VMC) will provide refreshments, tables and
voting ballots. Homeowners are reminded to bring chairs for the pool-side meeting.
The agenda for the meeting will be mailed out to the homeowners this week.
The BOD discussed the fact that 20 homeowners must be present for a quorum and
34 must vote to approve the Screening Amendment whether in person or by proxy
for it to pass. Steve will seek clarification on the eligibility criteria for voting.
Jeremy will send an email to homeowners reminding them to attend.
Vice President/Secretary Irmgard Bocchino: Irmgard reported that Ron
Gunsburger, General Counsel for the Broward County Property Appraiser’s Office,
has agreed to be the guest speaker on Amendment #1 and other issues of interest.
Vice President/ Treasurer Laura Madonna Pilch: Laura reported that the same
two homeowners are still delinquent and liens have been filed. She shared excellent
news about the budget: there is a surplus in the Operating Budget of $24,000. The
surplus will be transferred to an interest-bearing account for capital expenses; such
as painting. Laura also stated that income exceeded expenses by $6700, primarily
due to the water restrictions and reduced water costs.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Landscaping/Aesthetics: Laura reported that LawnLogic sent a list of properties
for the BOD to visit. The BOD plans to visit some of the properties in January. In
addition, Steve stated that there is one quote in of $700 for removal of the dead
royal palm.
