A. Electronic Application Submission Required
In FY 2008, Community Food Projects Competitive Grants Program (CFPCGP) will only accept
electronic application submissions through Grants.gov. Be aware that additional time is required
to complete the electronic application process. Applications must be submitted via Grants.gov by
Close of Business (COB) 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, on July 2, 2008.
If your institution is new to the electronic grant application process through Grants.gov,
you will be required to complete several steps prior to submitting an application. There is a
one-time registration process. It can take as much as one month to complete, so it is critical to
begin as soon as possible. The “Get Registered” tab on Grants.gov
(http://www.grants.gov/applicants/get_registered.jsp) provides information on registering your
institution with Grants.gov and the steps necessary to apply for a grant. A quick reference guide
