Computer Mentors is currently searching for at least 50 volunteers to assist with the 2021 Teen

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) – 5 Needed
SMEs are needed to provide motivational speech to kick-off each round of the competition. Speech
will be related to the different challenge subject areas (see event round descriptions) including
ideation, modeling, marketing, and presenting.
Coaches – 20 Needed
Each coach will coach one team through one round of the competition. It is expected that a round
will require about 3 hours of the coach’s time plus preparation. Coaches can select which subject
matter that they would like to coach based upon their skills, the day of the round, Friday, Saturday or
Sunday, and the time of the round, morning or afternoon (see schedule). Coaches will also be invited
to attend a training session the weeks prior to the event.
VR Consultants – 4 Needed
During the product modeling phase of the competition the youth will be asked to come up with some
sort of a model of their business product idea. We need consultants that understand VR that will
assist the teams with figuring out how they can model their concept. Consultants that love working
with teens are encouraged to apply.
Judges – 16 + 4 Needed
Judges are needed to judge each round of the competition. Judges should be familiar with business
concepts and be comfortable addressing groups. We also need a special set of judges for the final
pitch competition. Entrepreneurs and venture capitalists are strongly encouraged to apply!
Other volunteers needed include hosts & hostesses to guide our visitors through the virtual venue,
sign in the participants and other volunteers, and event managers that will work in the background
with our event platform to assure the event goes smoothly for all.
