February 13th minutes were reviewed and the minutes were revised to reflect that the committee
unanimously agreed that there was not going to be additional radiology in the curriculum.
MS1 2004-05 Schedule: Dr. Aleman requested that if CD’s want to make specific changes
please notify him and Dr. Chaney. Ms. Regina Terrell presented the 2004-05 draft schedule.
Dr. Farel mentioned that there would be a shift in the amount of hours from Biochemistry to
Neurobiology. MS1 lunch periods will be adjusted to accommodate MS2 lunch periods at least
three days a week and as often as possible. MS1 classes will be held in Berryhill for the 2004-
05 academic year. CDs said they had trouble viewing the schedule and requested that it be sent
via email or placed on the web. It was agreed that the schedule will be posted on a password
secure website. Dr. Cross requested that Medicine and Society be scheduled for Wednesday
mornings.
Task Force: Based on the CMPC’s decision to revise the entire Medical School curriculum Dr.
Aleman reported that the task force committee suggested that only minimum changes be made
to next year’s curriculum. The goal is to stream line courses and reduce redundancy for the
upcoming 2004-05 school year. The Task Force committee will continue to meet to make minor
modifications to the 2004-05 MS1 curriculum.
Dr. Cross suggested having the task force discuss teaching shortages. Dr. McCartney sta
