Meeting and Event Planning

Prepares the learner to manage conference-preplanning activities, facilitate meetings, coordinate equipment and facility
setup, complete travel arrangements, conduct follow-up activities, and review project management tools.
Electronic Meetings and Technology Tools
Catalog No. 10-106-101
Prepares the learner to partake in electronic meetings using current methods. This course may require free software that
will be downloaded to the students’ computer. Students will actively attend sessions held electronically and will critique
public sessions. The technology of electronic meetings will be explored and the student will study the process of
organizing electronic meetings.
Legal Issues for Meeting and Event Planners

Prepares the meeting and event manager to develop contracts which serve as the blueprint to other critical elements.
What to negotiate, when and with whom and topics such as fire protection, insurance, remodeling, cancellation clauses,
and ADA compliance will be covered. Class participants will review analysis and develop sample clauses.
