Bloodworth Appointed to the Minnesota Academic Excellence Foundation

Governor Tim Pawlenty has appointed Sharon Bloodworth to the MAEF Board of Directors
(PRWEB) June 5, 2010 -- Sharon Bloodworth, of Plymouth, is a partner and vice president of White Oaks Wealth
Advisors, Inc., where she manages client strategy and investments. She has over 16 years of experience in the
financial services industry, and has the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation. British-born Bloodworth
earned her bachelors degree of science of economics (honours) in European Community Studies with fluency in
French and Italian from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff. Having been brought up internationally and
experiencing school systems on four continents she is a strong proponent of the importance of education. In 2007
Bloodworth funded the building of a kindergarten in Indonesia. She also serves on the Board of Directors and as
Treasurer to Rotary Club Nine of Minneapolis, is a member of Vistage and received the 2010, 40 under Forty
award from Mpls St Paul Business Journal. Bloodworth replaces Christopher Burns on the MAEF as a
representative of business and is appointed to a four-year term that expires on January 6, 2014.
MAEF honors Minnesota schools for their academic excellence and their students’ achievements. The awards
highlight a school’s curriculum, instruction, assessment and staff development promoting student needs and
working towards overall success.
