Brunetti Cakes began trading at the Faraday street location in 1985 and the
Angelé family acquired the business in 1991 and has transformed the lovely
café that it was into a truly authentic Roman Pasticceria.
The Angelé family comes equipped with a wealth of experience in patisserie
and coffee as Giorgio Angelé began working with his uncle in a café in ancient
Rome at the age of 10 (as seen in photo). In 1956 at the age of 23 Giorgio came
to Australia with the Italian Olympic team as a pastry chef and was given the
opportunity to migrate here after the Olympics.
Since then Giorgio has always been involved in the pastry industry and is still
baking delicious European style sweets.
For many years we have received great feedback from customers who keep coming back. We strive to
create an environment that will make you feel as though you really are in Italy, and we continue to ensure
we create this service and atmosphere you will always remember.
