Anna Maria College has Record Year in Enrollment
Anna Maria College, a small, private Catholic college in central New England, has a record year
in enrollment recruiting the largest class in the history of the College. For example, freshmen
applications for admission to the 2009/10 academic year increased 102% with an additional 43%
increase for freshmen nursing applications. While many would have cautioned against setting
goals high, AMC moved forward with its plan and succeeded.

In addition to the growth in its student population, AMC is growing other aspects of its campus community with
the addition of new sports programs, including football, lacrosse and tennis, new residence halls, an honors
program, a new athletic field, additional curricular and co-curricular programs, an enhanced science lab and
state-of-the-art nursing lab. AMC's new online program is also helping the College reach out beyond its current
geographic area to bring quality, graduate and continuing education programs to adult students around the globe.
