An autoresponder is a little script that runs on a server which allows an unlimited amount
of automatic emails to be sent to anyone to requests it. The really powerful feature of an
autoresponder is that you can pre-program the script to send messages to your
customer list and specified intervals.
This is essentially a very powerful way to automatically follow up on your subscribers to
your newsletter or ezine.
Why an Autoresponder?
If you've never used an autoresponder, here's a crash course in what they do. Basically,
an autoresponder is a program or web service that allows you to gather and keep track
of email addresses from subscribers who double opt-in to your lists. You can then set up
a list of automatic messages that will be sent to them at given intervals. At any time,
during those intervals, you can send a broadcast message to all of your list members.
Essentially, it's a tool that lets you talk to everyone on your list all at once without having
to worry about tracking them or their responses.
Everyone who runs a website should collect leads/subscribers. A customer list is the
most important part of any business online or off. You don’t necessarily have to run an
ezine every month but having a customer list who trust you will always respond when
you have new products to offer them.
If you have a website and are not collecting leads then you are losing money. Period!
Every top marketer has a customer list that they promote to and a lot of them
