Business Council board to review $6 million in grant application
08.26.2009 – CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors will
review grant applications totaling $6 million for two Wyoming communities at the
board’s Sept. 3 meeting. The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 8
a.m. at the South Lincoln Training and Events Center in Kemmerer.
The board will review two Business Ready Community (BRC) grant requests totaling
$6 million for Goshen and Laramie Counties. Please visit

In addition to the meeting the board will take a community tour that morning to view
area economic and community development projects.
A final decision on grant funding will be made by the State Loan and Investment
Board (SLIB), to which the Business Council board is required by statute to forward
Business Ready Community and Community Facilities grant recommendations.
The SLIB is made up of the five statewide elected officials: Gov. Dave Freudenthal,
Secretary of State Max Maxfield, State Treasurer Joe Meyer, State Auditor Rita Meyer,
and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Jim McBride. The Business
